Tag Archives: Saturated Canary

On a previous post, I stated that one of my resolutions was to use up some of the toppers that I had previously made but then stuffed in a drawer. This is the first of those; the background was very simple, just the same stamp stamped multiple times in different colours; I am listing the distress inks below however although I know I used the Crafters Companion wax pencils, I coloured this a very long time ago now and cannot remember which colours I used. The shadow outline is in gold metallic marker as a bit of an experiment 😉

Saturated Canary

Distress Inks:

  • Wild Honey
  • Rusty Hinge
  • Walnut Stain

The flowers are Crafters Companion dies, one of the essential flowers sets and the pearls are the Perlen Pen liquid pearls.

Thank you for Reading!

This is a Saturated Canary stamp which I haven’t had out for a while, but is still a lovely little stamp.

The Colours Used

Hair: GY1-GY5 (new colours)

Skin: FS2, FS9 CR3

Top: DP1-DP4

AB3 for blue bits

I also used one of the grey pencils for extra shadow (sorry can’t remember which one) and 002 for the hair highlights. To finish I used the clear sparkle overlay

Colour Organiser

Organisation – a slightly foreign principle for me outside of work however I have reached that time in my life where I cannot help feeling perhaps it isn’t such a bad thing..?

Scattered around my various crafty hidey-holes have been various colour charts; sample blends, sample pictures and colour wheels many of which magically vanish when I actually want to use them for reference. So, I have made myself a very simple little book with some rings and embossed card; I have also reinforced the punched holes by adding eyelets (go cropadile!)

So here are some selections from my little book of colour, which has the advantage of plenty of room to add more 🙂
